Wild-caught keta salmon fillets go into the air fryer straight from frozen — no thawing, no fuss — and come out flaky and browned in about fifteen minutes. Plated with instant garlic mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and peas, it's an honest, fast weeknight dinner that leans on good convenience products rather than pretending not to.

Ingredients
4 No Name Wild-Caught Keta Salmon fillets (5 oz each), frozen
1 package instant garlic mashed potatoes
1 can Green Giant whole kernel corn, drained
1 bag frozen sweet peas
Butter, salt, and pepper, to taste (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Take the salmon straight from the freezer, unwrap it, and lay the fillets in a single layer in the basket — no thawing.
Air fry 12–15 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F internal.
While the salmon cooks, make the instant garlic mashed potatoes per the package.
Heat the peas through, and warm the drained corn in the microwave or on the stove. Add butter, salt, and pepper if you like.
Plate a fillet with mashed potatoes, peas, and corn, and serve.
Notes from experience
Cook it from frozen — keta is lean, and thawing first only gives you more chances to overcook it. Straight from the freezer is the easier, more forgiving path.
Keta (chum) is leaner and milder than king or sockeye, so it dries out faster. Pull it the moment it flakes and hits 145°F; a few minutes long turns it chalky.
This is a template, not scripture. Any frozen vegetable and any instant potato works — swap to what's in the freezer.
Storage & reheating
Best fresh. Refrigerate leftover salmon up to 3 days; reheat gently — a low oven or a short air-fryer warm-up, not a hard blast — or eat it cold, flaked over a salad. The potatoes and vegetables reheat fine in the microwave.
Dietary note
The plate as built is naturally gluten-free — the salmon, corn, and peas are, and No Name keta and the garlic mashed are labeled GF — but tagged conditional because instant-potato and seasoning brands vary, so check yours. Contains dairy if you use butter or a dairy-based mashed potato mix.
